Janus Warm is a medium-thick merino wool quality. Janus Warm feels soft and good against the skin. These are garments that you can wear all year round, both as a first and second layer. Merino wool has unique temperature-regulating properties developed by nature over thousands of years of evolution: it warms you when you're cold and cools you when you're too hot, and moisture evaporates easily. After knitting for more than 125 years, we've learned a thing or two about how to keep you comfortable and good, no matter what kind of trip you're on.

At a time when many have chosen to move production to low-cost countries, Janus has deliberately chosen to invest at home. Our factory at Espeland in Bergen is the heart of our production, where we knit around 90% of our garments. Here, renewable energy and strict Norwegian environmental requirements are combined to minimize our impact on nature.
As a testament to our environmental integrity, a river rich in salmon flows right past the factory. Janus - knitted in Norway since 1895.
Wool: Nature's miracle fibre
Wool is a 100% degradable and renewable material developed by nature over millions of years, known for its thermoregulation, moisture transport, and as the most recycled textile in the world.
Knitted in Norway - Care from thread to finished garment
Janus' factory in Espeland, powered by renewable hydropower and strict Norwegian environmental requirements, knits 90% of our garments and takes care of animal welfare and working conditions, while at the same time we recycle off-cuts to minimize waste.
Designed to last
With more than 125 years of experience in knitting, Janus produces high-quality garments that maintain their quality over time, supported by OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 to ensure the absence of substances harmful to health.
Janusfabrikken and our suppliers fully support and work according to the principles outlined by the IWTO (International Wool Textile Organisation) guidelines for sheep welfare, which are as follows:
1. Freedom from hunger, thirst and malnutrition - through steady access to fresh water and feed sufficient to maintain full health and strength.
2. Freedom from discomfort - by providing a suitably protected and comfortable environment
3. Freedom from pain, injury and disease - by prevention, or rapid diagnosis and treatment, non mulesing.
4. Freedom to express normal behavior - by providing sufficient space, suitable facilities and company of the animal's own species.
5. Freedom from fear and distress - secure conditions and treatments imposed, avoid mental suffering.
