Janus Ambassador Marcus Kleveland "One to Watch" at Milano Cortina

Janus ambassador Marcus Kleveland is competing at the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano-Cortina (6–22 February 2026).

Fresh off the back of his bronze and silver medals at Aspen’s X Games last month, Marcus has been selected for Norway’s Olympic snowboarding team and is listed for both the men’s big air and men’s slopestyle events. And don’t just take our word for it - Marcus is widely tipped as one of the snowboarders to watch at the upcoming Games. One of the most successful X Games participants ever, it’s hard to believe that Marcus has yet to medal at the Winter Olympics. Hopefully, this time he can improve on his 6th place finish in the men’s slopestyle back in 2018.

Marcus is a true friend of the brand, having long believed in the benefits of merino wool. Before we started working on our collaboration together, Marcus originally approached us because he knew the quality of our products and the values we stand for. He knew we knit in Norway and wanted to work with us.

In the snowboard community, many athletes still use synthetic base layers, but Marcus was fed up with freezing during competitions. He recognised the qualities wool brings: 100% natural, exceptional warmth, and outstanding moisture management. Wool absorbs humidity, and the air between the fibres creates an unbeatable insulation layer - something Marcus understood instinctively.
